India is a land of various enthralling art forms, and one of them is the traditional turban and safa tying of Rajasthan (the land of Kings). Here, we run our ancestry business. And, the best part is that our ancestors were artists, who used to make alluring turbans for the kings and emperors. However, with passing time, we could see our tradition deteriorating; hence, we decided to start making our customary Mewadi turbans and safas, which come in a plethora of varieties. But it was a tough row to hoe. Nevertheless, we overcame several hurdles, and today, our turbans and safas are distributed across various states in our country.
This became a possibility because people started appreciating the lost art of turban making, which gave us the strength and courage to keep moving forward. We were also lucky to display and sell our beautiful safas and turbans at the famous Mehrangarh museum, Jodhpur. We have also displayed and sold various turbans and safas at the Udaipur museum.
One of our best experiences was sending a lovely handmade Mewadi turban to Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, the famous Bollywood actor, during his popular television show, KBC. With the passing of time, our turbans became quite popular amongst royal weddings and functions. A lot of celebrities also started liking our turbans and safas, and the one name that stands out is that of our respected Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi.
Besides this, we have also curated turbans for Sachin Tendulkar, Shri Ravishankar, MorarJi Bapu, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Jackie Shroff, Vivek Oberoi, Rana Daggubati, Brian Lara, and more. We have also distributed our turbans and safas at various religious locations, which include Ujjain Mahakaleshwar Temple, Udaipur Hanumanji Temple, Jagdish Temple Udaipur, etc.
Recently, we have also started making the very famous Avadhi turbans, which are extremely popular in North India. We are the first ones to commercialize these traditional turbans on a large scale, for a variety of occasions.
